Liberty Lodges Cancellation Policy

At Liberty Lodges, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly. This Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, amendments and refunds are handled for bookings made directly through our website.

By confirming a booking with Liberty Lodges, you agree to this Cancellation Policy together with our Terms & Conditions.

 

Guest Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible by emailing bookings@libertylodgeslakeland.co.uk.

Cancellations are only accepted in writing and will take effect from the date and time we receive your email.

 

Cancellation Charges

More than 42 days before arrival

If you cancel your booking more than 42 days before your scheduled arrival date:

  • Any booking deposit paid is non-refundable.

  • Any additional balance already paid will be refunded within 14 days.

 

42 days or less before arrival

If you cancel your booking 42 days or less before your arrival date:

  • The booking becomes 100% non-refundable.

  • Any outstanding balance remains payable.

  • No refund will normally be issued.

 

Booking Deposit

Your booking deposit secures your selected dates and removes the accommodation from sale.

For this reason, booking deposits are non-refundable, except where Liberty Lodges is required by law to provide a refund.

 

Security Deposit

The £100 refundable security deposit is separate from your accommodation payment.

If your booking is cancelled before arrival, any security deposit already paid will be refunded in full.

If your stay goes ahead, the security deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure, subject to a satisfactory property inspection and compliance with our Terms & Conditions.

 

Booking Amendments

If you wish to amend your booking rather than cancel it, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will always try to accommodate requests, however amendments are subject to:

  • Availability

  • Seasonal pricing

  • Minimum stay requirements

  • Any applicable administration charges

We cannot guarantee that changes can be made.

 

Transferring Your Booking

Bookings are non-transferable.

They may not be:

  • Sold

  • Gifted

  • Assigned

  • Advertised

  • Sublet

without the prior written consent of Liberty Lodges.

 

Re-Letting Cancelled Bookings

If we successfully re-let your cancelled accommodation for the same dates, Liberty Lodges may, at its sole discretion:

  • Offer a partial refund (less the non-refundable deposit and any administrative costs); or

  • Offer a credit towards a future booking.

This is entirely discretionary and cannot be guaranteed.

 

No Shows

If you fail to arrive without notifying us:

  • Your booking will be treated as a No Show.

  • The booking will be cancelled.

  • No refund will be given.

 

Early Departure

If you decide to leave before the end of your booked stay, no refund will be provided for any unused nights.

 

Holiday Insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive holiday cancellation insurance.

Insurance may provide cover for circumstances including:

  • Illness

  • Injury

  • Family emergencies

  • Redundancy

  • Travel disruption

  • Severe weather (where covered)

Liberty Lodges cannot provide refunds for circumstances that may be covered by your insurance policy.

 

Cancellation by Liberty Lodges

In the unlikely event that Liberty Lodges needs to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will offer one of the following:

  • Alternative accommodation (subject to availability)

  • Alternative dates

  • A full refund of all monies paid, including your £100 security deposit

Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for your booking.

 

Force Majeure

Liberty Lodges cannot accept liability for events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather

  • Flooding

  • Fire

  • Storm damage

  • Utility failures

  • Industrial action

  • Government restrictions

  • Public health emergencies

  • Acts of terrorism

  • Natural disasters

Where possible, we will work with guests to rearrange bookings or offer alternative dates, but refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law.

 

Promotional Bookings

Bookings made using:

  • Discount codes

  • Promotional offers

  • Seasonal sales

  • Voucher codes

remain subject to this Cancellation Policy unless the specific promotion states otherwise.

 

Refund Timescales

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will normally be processed within 14 days.

  • Refunds will be made using the original payment method wherever possible.

  • Lead guest name

  • Property booked

  • Arrival date

  • Reason for cancellation (optional)
