A fun day out for all the family!
The zoo is Located a 30 minute drive from our Haven lakeland site, working out at 17 miles to the zoo with lots of car parking available close to the entrance . (We used google maps a Sat Nav may take you a different route! )
The zoo opening times and prices vary upon ,when you wish you to visit. It is recommended booking online to avoid disappointment, you also receive a discount for booking online which is an added bonus!!
The zoo is home to over 1,000 of the most endangered animals. This includes Giraffes, Red panda’s, Big cats, bears ,Rhinos, birds and reptiles to only list a few!
The zoo offers a lot of experiences for the day when visiting - this could be becoming a ‘keeper for the day’ or getting up close and personal with your favourite animal, by booking a feeding experience.
As a family we fed the giraffes on our last visit and highly recommend booking! As This is is not something you get to do every day! Other animal experiences include feeding the penguins and big cats so there is something to suit all the family.
Around the zoo there is lots of places to sit and relax and many opportunities to get drinks snacks and ice creams throughout the day. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop on the way out where you will find lots of souvenirs to take back home with you.
