The Engine Inn, Grange-over-Sands

The Engine Inn is Centrally situated in the quaint village of Cark-in-Cartmel just 1.8 miles from Haven Lakeland just a 5 minute drive, this cosy little pub dates back to the 17 th century and at one time housed one of the earliest steam engines, installed to pump water back above the water wheel that powered Cark Cotton Mill.

The Engine is both the village inn, where locals enjoy a pint of there well kept cask ales or choose from our large assortment of other beers, wines, spirits and minerals; and a thriving restaurant serving good quality homemade dishes in a regularly changing menu, more often than not produced from locally sourced ingredients.

We have always enjoyed sitting in the beer garden to the front of the pub with a beer and wine just watching the day go by, Staff are always friendly and welcoming.
